We build healing ministries for children and families inside communities in crisis in Guatemala, Honduras, inner city Chicago, etc.
One village in Guatemala, a "squatters village" where people moved in with small shacks made of tin, corn stalks, and plastic, housed an estimated 400 people surviving without running water, security, child care, pastoral care or medical services. Hundreds of children are in these communities-in-crisis. In one hut in that village, we found 10 children living inside and no caregiver to keep them safe.
We empower and train Central American nationals to lead the way building meaningful, healing relationships with families and children in these communities. They provide culturally sensitive TLC, crisis and pastoral care, help for single mothers, children's ministries, inspirational training and tutoring, teaching materials, school supplies, backpacks, warm blankets, necessities, etc. National leaders serve in poor schools, orphanages and communities-in-crisis. Their mission is not to just to help children go from crisis to success, but to raise up volunteers and leaders helping their own communities and country.
We offer short-term mission teams, volunteers and interns the opportunity to serve in these communities, or in one of the many orphanages we help. Please contact us for more info, or if you can help cover the costs for others to serve.
