When we work with staff of orphanages and their directors - the mission is EVERY CHILD HEALING.
To do the work helping children heal, workers must be equipped and ready to put into action what they are learning. We teach them the techniques that work, and how to never give up loving a child.
The reality is that there are thousands of orphanages in third world countries who need very specific help training workers. Why? Orphanages are inherently dangerous for children - not just physically but emotionally and psychologically.
And yet, orphanages are the #1 go-to solution for third world governments needing a place for street children, abused children, and children who need temporary placements. Taking large groups of abused and abandoned children and putting them all in one place, and children's individualized needs are not likely to be be met...UNLESS that orphanage is transformed into a Healing Community of Equipped Caregivers. That's where we come in.
The bottom line is that children do not heal from their traumas UNLESS they are given specific help.
These children begin moving through their stages of development IF provided certain things from their caregivers.
If not, their bodies grow, but their minds and hearts get stuck. We train caregivers how to have success.
